Year 9+10

Part 1: Navigating periods

A 90-minute session to explore the menstrual cycle and hormones, helping minimize the impact on students' well-being.

Content includes:

  • The Menstrual cycle phases and role of hormones

  • The emotional, physical and behavioural changes during the cycle and how to work with them

  • Cycle tracking for beginners

  • What to expect for the first few years

  • Teen reproductive health issues – Endometriosis and Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome

  • How to look after yourself for happy, healthy hormones

  • Sustainable periods: Re-usable period products discussed and demonstrated

Year 10-13

Part 2: Better Periods

Two x one hour sessions giving students the knowledge and tools to combat period suffering, promoting healthy hormone balance for better physical and mental health outcomes.

Content includes:

  • Understanding the emotional, physical and behavioural changes during the menstrual cycle

  • Why hormones aren’t the enemy – how to work with them

  • Nutrition and lifestyle tips for hormone health and period symptoms

  • Cycle tracking and period apps

  • Common teen period irregularities – pain, heavy bleeding, irregular cycles

  • Teen reproductive health issues – Endometriosis and Polycystic ovarian syndrome

  • When and where to seek help for period problems

  • Sustainable periods: reusable period products discussed and demonstrated

  • Q+A
